CONCERT #1 - JAKOB LINDBERG
Internationally acclaimed for his live solo recitals, Swedish lutenist Jakob Lindberg is widely regarded as one of the finest lute players in the world. Based in London, where he's been professor of lute at Royal College of Music since 1979, Lindberg has played a pioneering role in reviving the lute in its many guises as part of the early music movement in the late 20th century.
For the Lunchbox Concert series, Lindberg commemorates the 400th anniversary of Britain’s greatest renaissance composer, John Dowland, in a stunning solo recital. As the world’s leading interpreter, Swedish born Lindberg, was the first to record Dowland’s complete works four decades ago.
